Our Techniques
Chiropractic care is simply a scientific approach to gently realigning the spine, in an effort to increase or normalize neurological function. This can be achieved with a variety of established chiropractic adjusting techniques. We use a number of these highly effective approaches to help improve spinal biomechanics and reduce nervous system interference.
The approach we choose to address your specific issues is based on our clinical analysis of your condition and is drawn from over 40 years of experience in the field. We look forward to discussing your pain management options with you.
All of our techniques are gentle and effective, and ones that we are highly experienced with. At Louisville Spine and Wellness, our model of care promotes optimal health and wellness and is based on four centerpiece components that service us to that end. We consider these to encompass a results-based, patient-centered, science-based approach.
These four components (Atlas Chiropractic, Chiropractic Biophysics and ideal spinal posture, functional movement, and functional medicine and nutrition) are integral and complementary to your care plan. However, our techniques range far beyond these core components of our practice, and we look forward to designing a unique care plan for your specific needs.
Atlas Orthognal
Atlas Orthogonal is one of the gentlest techniques available for adjusting the spine. You will feel at ease immediately when you realize how minimal the level of force the instrument provides is. This instrument is used in specific ways related to the relationship between your specific skull and spine. It uses a gentle percussive force to move the uppermost bone of your spine.

Chiropractic Biophysics
Chiropractic Biophysics (CBP) involves traction and postural corrective exercises. Essentially, CBP recommends an ideal spinal model and a series of adjustments and tractions that help our patients achieve that model.

Functional Movement
Certain traumas and postural positions that we inflict on ourselves can negatively affect the foundational movement patterns that have been instilled in us since birth. Our functional movement program is designed to highlight the dysfunctions in these patterns and revert them back to optimal positions and functions.

Functional Medicine
Our functional medicine and nutrition program is focused on gut health and overseen by our on-site registered nurse. Increasing nutritional awareness and execution and improving gut health has a myriad of health benefits that can affect many other aspects of your overall health.

Neuropathy Relief
If you suffer from neuropathy, you know it can affect your life in little ways, like being unable to open a jar of jam quickly or without help. It can also have a major impact on your life. You aren’t alone in this experience, with millions of Americans suffering from this debilitating nerve damage. It’s common for patients to feel hopeless, but there are natural treatments our team of highly skilled practitioners here at Louisville Spine and Wellness use to help you regain your life.

Torque Release
Torque Release uses a gentle touch and light thrusting by either hand or a small hand-held instrument called an Integrator. This low force adjusting method allows the nervous system to integrate and understand the new corrective information and process it throughout the spinal cord and brain.
Activator Method
The activator method is a system of spinal evaluation combined with a hand-held adjusting instrument that delivers a consistent, low force thrust.
